Helping Hands Personnel Service is a Domestic Referral Agency and a member of the California Coalition of Domestic Referral Agencies, or CCDRA. As a member of the CCDRA we are kept up to date on the local, state and federal laws pertaining to Domestic Referral Agencies.
“Domestic Referral Agencies minimize the consumer’s cost while maximizing the worker’s income by outsourcing jobs to Independent Domestic Workers who are registered under contract with the referral agencies. The independent domestic workers are not employees of the referral agency, providing the Domestic Referral Agency is compliant with Federal Law governing Independent Contractors and California State Law which regulates Domestic Referral Agencies. The Domestic workers work their own schedule, utilize their own acquired knowledge to complete jobs and provide their own transportation. Depending on the needs of the Customer, supplies, and equipment are provided by either the customer or the worker. The workers provide professional domestic services, as requested by the customer, at the lowest possible cost.” - CCDRA (California Coalition of Domestic Referral Agencies)
A little about Becky, our founder
Becky’s California roots go back 5 generations and her Carlsbad roots to 1925 when her great-grandmother decided to raise her family in Carlsbad, CA. Born and raised in the North San Diego area, like many other living in the area, Becky loves the outdoors and especially the ocean.
Becky has been a ‘giver of care’ for most of her life. Growing up and into adulthood, she was frequently helping watch the younger kids and help the older adults.
In the summer of 2004, after leaving the corporate world behind, a friend asked Becky for help with a few elderly friends. Soon she realized that caregiving would be her passion.
In 2008, Becky founded her company after too many requests for her services. There just wasn’t enough of ‘Becky’ to go around. Since then, through experience and dedication, Helping Hands Personnel Service has thrived as the trusted choice for caregiving referrals.
Her inspiration was and continues to be her Grandmother, who was always taking in strangers, helping family & friends, and just about anyone who needed a helping hand.
